[19-10-2016] First trailer for Lee Min-ho and Jun Ji-hyun’s ‘Legend of Blue Sea’
SBS released the first official trailer for the highly anticipated drama “Legend of Blue Sea,” starring Lee Min-ho and Jun Ji-hyun, on Wednesday.
The trailer shows off the picturesque scenery of the beaches, seas and forests, as well as provides glimpses of Lee and Jun‘s fateful past and present.
Throughout the trailer, Jun’s voice can also be heard as she narrates, “I‘ll keep my promise. Even if theres a storm. Even if I’m alone and I have to walk a dark and scary path. I‘ll endure it all and I’ll come find you.”
Inspired by a Joseon-era legend about a fisherman who captures and releases a mermaid, “The Legend of the Blue Sea” will depict the last remaining mermaid‘s love story.

[19-10-2016] Lee Min Ho Talks About “The Legend Of The Blue Sea” Drama Comeback Role
Actor Lee Min Ho reveals his thoughts on finally making a drama comeback with the highly anticipated “The Legend of the Blue Sea” with Jun Ji Hyun.
The drama is a fantasy romance centered around a motif from a mermaid story found in Korea’s first historical (romance) storybook. Jun Ji Hyun plays the last mermaid in the world who steps foot into a city for the first time and Lee Min Ho plays a genius conman.
This marks Lee Minho’s first drama in three years, since “Heirs,” which aired in 2013.
He opens up about his role, saying, “I’m nervous and excited to see how everyone will respond to it. I get to act out two roles on ‘The Legend of the Blue Sea,’ including one as a conman and so I’ll be able to show many diverse sides to me. Please look forward to seeing them.”
The drama released its first teaser yesterday, which shows gorgeous scenery images as well as dropping hints about the two roles played by Lee Min Ho and Jun Ji Hyun.

Lee Min Ho and Jun Ji Hyun look flawless in the first script reading meeting for their new drama!
The production team from their upcoming drama, 'The Legend of the Blue Sea', released photos from their first script reading session.
The recent rehearsal occurred after the held a filming session abroad. In the photos, the two leading actors glow even though they are wearing casual outfits and no makeup.
The script writer, Park Ji Eun, said, "I am honored to work with good actors. I will work hard to write a memorable drama."
Jun Ji Hyun, who will be playing the last mermaid alive, read the comedic lines perfectly, making everyone in the meeting laugh.
Lee Min Ho, who plays a sexy, con-artist, stated, "I am privileged to work with many good people. I will work hard." It is reported that Lee Min Ho displays a charm with a chameleon-like charisma.

The long-awaited drama "Legend of the Blue Sea" has held their 1st script reading with the cast Jeon Ji Hyun, Lee Min Ho, Lee Hee Joon gathering at one place with other star-studded casts as protagonist, including their filming staffs, TV Station official crew.
The SBS drama that will air its first episode on 16th of November 2016 with Wednesday-Thursday airing date, "Legend of the Blue Sea" (written by Park Ji Eun, Director Jin Hyuk, Culture Depot of South Korea/Studio Dragon Production House), unveiled the 1st script reading event which take part on the 8th of October, released on 17th of October.
"Legend of the Blue Sea" would be a fantasy-romance drama with comedy and unpredictable events, telling a story of a mermaid that was last of her kind on the planet earth, meeting a genius con artist in the process of adapting herself in the human world. In the process, both of the character's past and and how they cross path each each other would be unveiled, the way the story would be brought to the audience was promising to be a brand new experience and expectations.
After finishing the production shooting process overseas, the 1st script reading take part on 8th of October in Seoul, Mapo-gu, SangAm studio. Those who attended including Jeon Ji Hyun, Lee Min Ho, Lee Hee Joon, Seong Dong Il, Moon So Ri, Hwang Shin Hye, Na Young Hee, Choi Jeong Woo, Shin Hye Sun, Shin Won Ho, Lee Ji Hoon, Park Hye Soo, Lee Jae Won for the main casts, including the production director Jin Hyuk and writer Park Ji Eun was also seen on the scene to attend the 1st script reading with their respected staffs.
Prior to the script reading, PD Jin Hyuk introduce each actor and actresses individually, including the stakeholders of the drama and staffs to promote the drama, showing the positive energy going on. Meanwhile, script-writer Park Ji Eun also added "It was an honor for me to work with all you professional actor and actresses, may all this drama progress be a good memory for all of us.." and bow to everyone.
Jeon Ji Hyun that take part as the last mermaid on earth bring the 'laughter aura' throughout the script-reading process, which the others can't help but to be taken aback and laugh together, proofing her professionalism. As a mermaid, the 1st script reading mainly talk about how she adapt herself to the human world, especially facing troubles since it's her 1st time coming to the city and with her 'Aegyo' (cuteness), successfully bring out laughter to everyone.
Meanwhile, Lee Min Ho will be taking part as the genius con artist from the city said "It was a deep honor for me to work with all of these wonderful people. I will work really hard". and with the other casts Lee Hee Joon and ad Shin Won Ho as a con-artist trio that was formed, audience can expect a lot of laughter, fun, and chemistry from the three of them.
The professional Lee Min Ho's character will be Heo Jun Jae, that will be a brand new character for Lee Min Ho as a genius con-artist that has so many sides which he has shown throughout the 1st script reading,

Jeon Ji-hyeon takes on the role of the last mermaid. She led the script reading with laughter in between her lines and she managed to pull off the unique role with her unique performance.
Lee Min-ho plays the genius fraud and along with his performance, Seong Dong-il, Hwang Sin-hye, Choi Jeong-woo, Sin Hye-seon, Lee Ji-hoon-I, Park Hae-soo, Lee Jae-won and the others did their best to read their lines.
The younger version of the mermaid is played by Gal So-won and Sin Eun-soo.
Jeon Jin-seo and Jinyoung play the 'little frauds' as well.
"The Legend of the Blue Sea" will be released on the 16th of November at 10PM.
