Korean actor Lee Min Ho’s charity platform, Promiz, won recognition at the 2016 Korean Good Brand Awards.
The award ceremony was held on May 25 in Seoul.
Since 2014, Promiz has donated 400 million (about P16 million) to various organizations including UNICEF, Holt’s Children and Food Bank.
Last March, Lee Min Ho and his fans made a donation of 50 million won (P1.97 million) to UNICEF Korea to help children get access to clean water. The donation was to benefit some 520,000 children.
Promiz signed an agreement with Holt International Children’s Services last February to help raise funds for the international adoption group. They have since donated 50 million won (P1.97 million) to Holt.
Last September, Promiz gave $50,000 donation to Charity: Water to dig wells in Africa.
Lee Min Ho and Promiz also embarked on a transparent umbrella campaign to raise awareness about traffic safety and also sold sweatshirts to raise awareness about endangered animals.
The star’s new film “Bounty Hunters” will be released in China on July 1.
